Happy April Fools Day!

April 1st, 2008 by Rishabh Mishra

If you visited at the right time, you might have seen the CodingExperiments April Fools joke. It was simply a little gag that WordPress 2.5 had been hacked into. Nothing very fancy.

Making announcements about products today seems a bit odd, but it might be an excellent way to get publicity, depending on how you look at it.

If you release a product on April Fool’s day, and people think it’s a prank, they might not look into it as attentively as they normally would.

On the other hand, people may pay more attention to your announcement because they want to see if it is a gag or not. There could be increased discussion and more blogging about your new product.

For more fun today, you can visit http://aprilfoolsdayontheweb.com/.
